
Roy Suddaby
- Profesor part-time en Política de Empresa
Roy es Chair of Management en la Peter B. Gustavson School of Business, University of Victoria, Canada y dirige la cátedra de Teoría Organizacional en la Management School de la Universidad de Liverpool, manteniendo a su vez un esquema de Double Appointment con el IAE Business School.
Es también profesor honorario de la Copenhagen Business School de Dinamarca y profesor adjunto en la Universidad de Ritsumeikan de Japón.
Es reconocido internacionalmente como investigador especializado en teoría organizacional y cambio institucional, contribuyendo a nuestra comprensión del papel crítico de los recursos simbólicos – legitimidad, autenticidad, identidad e historia – en la mejora de la posición competitiva de una organización.
Su investigación actual examina el cambiante rol social y simbólico de la historia en la corporación moderna y las empresas familiares. Su trabajo ha recibido reconocimientos tales como el premio al best paper del Academy of Management Journal, el premio John F. Mee de la Management History Division of the Academy of Management así como el Grief Research Impact Award de la USC Marshall School of Business y la Administrative Sciences Association of Canada.
Fue editor de la revista Academy of Management Review y es o ha sido miembro del Editorial Board del Academy of Management Journal, Administrative Science Quarterly, Organization Studies, Journal of Management Studies, y el Journal of Business Venturing; siendo recientemente designado como Fellow de la Academy of Management, una posición que reconoce la contribución sustantiva hecha por Roy a la ciencia y la práctica del Management.
